A natural explorer and tinkerer, his culture insights and creative problem-solving has helped brands and creative agencies like Puma, Ogilvy, and Mercedes-Benz connect authentically with global communities. Kofi’s 10 years of professional experience spans multiple channels and platforms in design and marketing. A recognized thought leader in cross-cultural communications and design strategy, Kofi frequently speaks to groups on the topics of marketing, design, technology, and social innovation. Most recently he has presented at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art, Google.org, and SXSW Interactive Conference. Kofi spent 3 years as a consultant and board member of the African Film Commission, and has appeared and been quoted in influential media outlets including The LA Times, Reuters, Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc. Magazine, and PSFK.com. He is also co-author of The Age of Conversation I & II (2007, 2008) a pair of books about community interactions and the role technology, media, and marketing play.

Kofi is principal at Annansi LLC, , a boutique strategy and creative firm that helps brands create, translate, and manage culturally relevant, consumer-focused products. Ever the entrepreneur, his other projects include Annansi Chronicles, AfriMonitor.com, a market research portal, and Annansi Clothing Co., a specialized streetwear clothing label.
