Africa’s good side is too closely linked to the negative. We need to unbundle Africa’s image.

Kofi, Don Cheadle hit it right on the head. If Africa becomes more personalized and humanized to Americans, it will be harder to ignore what we tend to see as the stereotypes.
My eyes were opened wide to the human impact of was in Africa when I read “A Long Way Gone.” I wrote about it a while ago, at http://reichcomm.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/06/a-little-perspe.html
