I'm African-American, but I've yet to read a "fictional" book about africa. But if i ever read one written from a western perspective, I could definitely imagine one that follows those criteria. But i do hope to eventually read a story from africa that is not so dehumanizing and biased. I know there must be a lot more to the African story that cannot be captured by the Western pen.
