Adidas Materials of the World 2007 - Africa

Dazed and Confused Magazine make a mention of the upcoming Adidas X Materials of the World 2007 series. The series began in 2006 and Adidas is continuing it’s tour of the world with the addition of Africa for Spring/Summer 2007. BKRW debuted a few images a few weeks ago with a small description. I especially like the track jacket which has intricate beading and embroidery. The jacket design shows how traditional African crafts can be updated and modernized. I can’t wait to see the products in person.

There’s no confirmed ship date yet, however new Spring/Summer retail products ususally hit stores sometime in March/April. Union NY was selling the 2006 Materials of the World products so they’ll probably be a good place to keep an eye on.

I Saw one of the african jacket model in a shop in stables market, camden town (london). In an Adidas specialised shop.
